True... but wouldn't the 850s catch up? As in as we get closer the 850s might tick upward a few degrees?

not necessarily...if that "death" ridge stays over us for several days, then you could expect 850T to trend upward through that period.

850T is better correlated with maximum sfc temps, than 500H....

This afternoon reminds me of July 15 1995 when I took a jebwalk in 101 degrees with a dewpoint of 85.

I was a lot younger then.

It was so damned hot that I was forced to crawl into a culvert.

Cryin' shame that this winter won't be anything like what that following winter was like

weather bug 99 degrees / 82 degree dewpoint / 124 degree heat index

I know its wrong - more like 93 degrees with a 70 dewpoint and a reasonable heat index of 95 degrees.

Weather bug is so overrated

This is a normal summer day - why is nws putting out excessive heat warnings geeze
