Recommended Posts

Yeah this one didn't have any wind but had very heavy rain...and the sun came out before it stopped raining again. Very nice 5 minute storm, I'm enjoying today for sure.

Another 0.50" of Rain = 1.00" so far. Round 3 where are you

Interesting cell heading toward Utica

Agree mom is 5 miles away heading to intercept between Port Sanilac and Port Huron.

I was supposed to be in Sarnia this week, but I got a new job on Friday and couldn't get off work. Otherwise, I would have had an unobstructed view of this storm from the time it was in Macomb County right until it disappears into Lake Huron. The ground is so flat down in the St. Clair River area. From Canada-side you can practically see the curve of the Earth into Michigan

Theres a disconnect in the line between Ortonville and Novi... or else this would have been a nasty line

What did you get? I got about 30 mph winds from the final line but IIRC you live on the east side so it's intensifying as it heads towards your side of town...

It almost seems like they changed their ruling on that Mount Prospect storm. Here is what they posted earlier:

The most intense damage was approximately 200 yards wide and was a couple of miles long. This damage path started near the intersection of West Golf and South We Go trail and extended north-northeastward to near the Kensington Rd and North Pine St intersection. There was no conclusive evidence found to suggest that the damage was a result of a tornado, therefore it is considered to be the result of strong straight line winds. The damage found consisted of large hardwood trees snapped and large soft and hardwood uprooted trees, along with roof damage to area buildings. This damage is consistent with straight line winds of 90 to 100 mph.
