Jim Marusak
That would be pretty cool to see. that actually happened a year or two ago in southern mn. you had one cell coming towards albert lea from the south, one coming into thye minnesota lake area from the wnw. what happened, the minnesota lake cell stopped dead in its tracks while the cell coming from the south bounced ne off the outflow, turning east of albert lea. it's one reason why on the air, when i see a potential merger of cells, that "sometimes they merge into a nastier storm , sometimes they destroy themselves, and sometimes they'll do more than a few unpredictable things". seeing is believing. and i've seen a lot the last couple of years, so i believe almost anything in the mesoscale. tornadotony
I've only got Wunderground radar, but looks like reflectivity over the couplet just spiked over 55 dBz...
SmokeEater
Merger looks complete, couplet even stronger, 140 kts G2G at 4200 feet AGL.
SmokeEater
Hook starting to form on the eastern side now too, lets see which becomes dominant.

phil882
Crazy to watch how this supercell pretty much ingested the cell further south that entered from Kansas earlier... very large cells now and at least at the moment there are two distinct areas of rotation with the stronger cuplet between Miller and Riverdale
Memphis Weather
The Eastern Cell still merging looks as if it could produce at any time between Pleasanton and Poole....not nearly as defined as the other but organizing...

OceanStWx
Hook starting to form on the eastern side now too, lets see which becomes dominant. I'm guessing the eastern storm will eventually cutoff the inflow the western.
SmokeEater
I think we've got our answer, it's turning into one massive supercell.
phil882
Jesus... two near 100 knot couplets... could be multiple tornadoes on the ground per radar, although the further east couplet seems to be developing at the expense of the west couplet as the cells merge.
