Government earmarks $27 million to address crumbling weather service OTTAWA — The federal government says that a two-year, $27-million investment announced in its budget will address dire warnings about unreliable infrastructure plaguing its weather service and forecasts. NOAA's budget could chip in more than that from their 5.5 billion for 2012!! But then NOAA is saving the Gulf and baby dolphins (or uh not). I'm not too sure what the total EC budget is, but this $27million is for the weather offices, or the Meteorological Service of Canada department of Environment Canada, or something like that.
