weathafella
Big azz failure on the wf. Backdoor fronts always overperform early in the season. It's hard to move cool air out of the way.
weatherwiz
I could see a few strong, perhaps brief severe storms just to the west of CT today...latest SREF actually hits the potential fairly hard and does develop modest instability, certainly enough given shear values in place. Some of these storms could work into western MA/CT, however, given how we will be quite stable any convection would become elevated rather quickly. EastBayWx
59 F with NNE wind and I'm well south of the Pike. At least the torrential downpours happened overnight and not during daylight hours. Now just intermittent misty drizzle but I briefly saw the sun in Fall River at 11:30 am.
weathafella
Must have been a nightmare living there before a/c...... When I was a young child, I remember going with my parents driving to Florida one summer in the early 1950s. Some of the hotels/motels including the one we stayed in Miami did not have a/c! EastBayWx
Only place on the SNE Mesonet that looks even close to being south of the warm front is Siasconset, Nantucket at 67 F. I know the SST there is nowhere close to 67F yet this year. Even LI looks to be N of the front.
CoastalWx
You called for 65/60 and not too chilly..so trolling me isn't warranted I said that 3 days ago when it looked like the WF would be closer, but it still looked like it would stay south. Yesterday put the nail in the coffin for any hope.

free_man
Still some doubt ..but overnight modles shoved the warm front farther north and have areas south of the Pike warm sectoring with dews getting well up into the 60's. MAy have issues with clouds..and how early we clear out..but the potential is there
Logan11
That must have been cool...pre I-95. The old America with Mom n Pop motels dominating, etc. all the way down the coast..I guess on US-1. Even as a kid we had the NYS Thruway and Mass Pike (for Cape Cod vacations), but I recall we almost always stayed at local motor courts etc. Maybe very occasionally a HoJo's. When I was a young child, I remember going with my parents driving to Florida one summer in the early 1950s. Some of the hotels/motels including the one we stayed in Miami did not have a/c! You guys up in Mass may have 3 more days of it.; Luckily down here it will be somewhat better..though not great by any means
