Unfortunately it appears that a majority of the area got less than an inch of rain. Some areas certainly got a deluge though.

That def supports megerb and new brunswick rain fall amounts. Also my below a inch report. Very sharp drops in rainfall in small areas.

Storm is 65 dBZ with hail potential to 1.75". It's just missing my location as it went through McAdoo and is making a beeline toward Nesquehoning and eventually Lehighton, and then possibly the Walnutport/Palmerton area.

Results of last night's storm which caused major damage in the Lake Hauto community just north of Tamaqua. I've heard reports that the NWS is going to investigate the "possibility" of a tornado in that area. PA 54 from Hometown to Nesquehoning was closed for nearly 12 hours as power and road crews worked to clean up the mess.

(edited to add the news story from Saturday morning)

From the Saturday morning Hazleton Standard Speaker:

The storm brought heavy winds and hail into the lake development, which straddles the Schuylkill-Carbon County border and is partially in Rush Township and partially in Nesquehoning, but injured no one.

"We didn't get any indications of a tornado on the radar last night, or any indications from people there this morning," he said. "It was probably a strong line, what we call a downburst. There was severe, localized damage, and winds probably were between 60 and 80 miles per hour, considering the way the trees were damaged."

my buddy who's a fireman down at the aberdeen P-Grounds is working right now... sent me a bad ass pic of the front of the storm. SAys it;s right by Riken Stadium?

this was at sundown, so the darkness of the storm is skewed a bit. Still a great Shot though. he just texted me and reported marble size hail as well

Truly unbelievable how every storm collapses as it hits the DE line........shields up!!

This was called ALL day by Mt. Holly to happen. How come your "shield" didn't hold last storm? You just got a lot more rain then some of us in the area got, and you're whining already? Come on, stop clogging up the threads with this crap already. It's to the point where all you do is post and whine, you don't even post when you actually get what you want.

Dude if you thought this was going to amount to a lot you had something coming. The thermos were pretty bleak for us. The storms fired where the most instability was. We had capes of 500-1000 and li -2 to -3 thats not going to really support a line like that especially at night.

This wasnt a shields up situation. I went down to film from the Christiana Mall parking lot for some lightning, Got a decent amount of rain down there. So this turned out to be in my honest opinion as an overachiever storm it did have some lightning so i might have gotten some on film just have to review. But yeah the rain came down hard for 3 minutes. So it was nice.

as much as we love and defend Mount Holly they even bumped up their odds last night in response to that line firing. Most of us probably would have done the same thing with how well those storms were doing in MD.

MID LEVEL SPIN FROM THE MCS WELL TO OUR WEST WAS TRIGGERING A

BROKEN LINE OF ACTIVITY HEADING EAST FROM A CENTRAL PA TO NORTHERN

VA POSITION THIS EVENING, BUT THE BEST INSTABILITY WAS INTO OUR

SOUTHERN ZONES. THE NORTHERN PART OF THE LINE WAS COMPRISED OF

SCATTERED AND WEAK SHOWERS, BUT THE PART FROM JUST NORTH OF THE

MASON-DIXON LINE INTO VA WAS FAIRLY ROBUST. WE RAISED OUR

SOUTHWESTERN AND SOUTH-CENTRAL POPS IN RESPONSE. OTHERWISE, WE

MAINTAIN THE FORECAST.

I got much less than 0.50" in the last storm......KILG had like 2"+ but its 15+ miles to my south. KILG readings are very often not very representative for what happens in the city of Wilmington let alone its northern burbs.
