Avdave
Guys, SNE transplant here. Moved into Towson University in Maryland where I will be playing the next four years as an offensive guard. I look forward to learning the area climo and getting to meet some of you at the conference. Jay P.S. still hot and humid at 6am and 5pm workouts! AC works great in the dorms though! Hey Jay, Welcome to the team here. Hopefully you will bring good luck like I did when I moved here a few yrs ago from NH, first winter, 90" of snow here in Noirthern VA I'll take MD weather over NY/NE weather any day You are not right, Md wx blows except for Western Md where they get it all. Bob Chill
Man what a sizzler today. Walked the dog before work @ 9:30 and broke a serious sweat. It was 86 IMBY @ 10AM and stiiiiicky. I saw a person jogging a few minutes ago. I'm sorry, that just can't be healthy. I don't know why there are so many MA weather haters. I love this area and I lived in the Rockies for 7 years. I hated the months of May, August, and November. May was a mudfest with nothing to do outdoors. Couldn't hike because of the snowpack, skiing was ok but usually burnt by that time, and fishing was impossible because all the rivers were swollen with snowmelt. The August monsoon sucked because it rained and got chilly every single afternoon. November was really cold and never much natural snow so ski conditions were typically bad. I like it here. More snow would be great and all but overall the climate here is quite nice compared to the majority of States. I can't say that I "hate" any month here except for maybe the 2nd half of March. ThreeRedheads
This area would be perfect with more snow. Other than that, we get a little bit of everything and by the time we're tired of one season, we're moving on to the next. It IS VERY STICKY outside today. We need some severe storms ASAP! mattie g
Fog/haze this morning... now into the lower 90s... looking good for storms today (some severe, but mostly garden variety/strong). Are those storms in south central PA indicative of what may happen in this general area later?
Ellinwood
Are those storms in south central PA indicative of what may happen in this general area later? Yeah we'll probably end up with something like that later in the day.
mattie g
Yeah we'll probably end up with something like that later in the day. Roger. The rain was nice yesterday - we really needed it - so some more will be a nice shot in the arm. Severe would be some high-quality smack in that shot. adelphi_sky
Walking on the grass here in Beltsville is like walking on dried brush. The grass is literally making a crunching sound. Not good. We need a steady three - four day rain.
