Got it pretty good in the city.. probably the best severe storm of the yr.

Here's a cell phone vid (TWC requested to use it, see if they do)--worst wind came with the rain. Lots of small objects blown around.. didnt go looking for damage.

Pretty good quality for a cell phone video!

It's been dark and thundering here for over an hour. A little bit of rain. Waiting for the big show.` popcorn.gif

What a friggin storm. Had everything. Torrential rains, CG lightning, sporadic hail up to quarter sized driven by 50+ mph winds. In Montclair, just NW of Dumfries. Really great. A- grade.

No hail here in Southbridge (near Rt 234 and US Rt 1). Most everything else, though. We've missed a lot of the storms that have pummeled Dale City and Woodbridge. I've called it the "Southbridge Split". Not tonight, though...

Figures. I was up at my inlaws in Potomac; garden-variety stuff up there. Not as impressive as what we had last night. I did get to see a pretty lightning show as I was driving up 270, as the storm approached.

I'm on the far NW side of Montclair. Near Cardinal. Probably about 6 miles or so away from you. I grabbed a hail stone and it was larger than a quarter. Not a great quantity, but good size. Missed the last good one here on 6/9/11 as I was in OH, but wife said there was an accumulation of hail on the ground. Many of the roofs in my area of the neighborhood are being replaced due to the hail damage from that night.

Oh my! So sorry to hear about the damage. Glad you all are safe. We have a very scenic view of the junkyard at Rt 234 and US1 from our front porch :lmao: Still no hail that I've seen, but lots of lightning and rain. We were going to go to Pfitzner Stadium for the P-Nats game tonight, but decided against it (poor planning at the last minute). Had hoped the weather would allow us to go up for the fireworks, but the game was called and fireworks cancelled tonight. Doubt we'll be able to get up there tomorrow -- gotta be up REAL early on Tuesday AM. So guess I'll sit around and catch up on stuff....
