WVclimo
High of 77 today, which is also the average high for the past 7 days. Hottest it got in that week was 81 on Thursday and Friday. Been getting roughly a tenth of inch of rain each day, but could use a good soaker.
H2O
Back home today and dumped 1.05" out of the rain gauge. Not bad for 3 days.
Jebman
Another overnight............Another potentially heavy rain event. How many nights has this been now? Last night? The night before that one? Maybe even the night before? A developing low interacting with a stalled out frontal boundary draped over yours truly will develop showers/thundershowers, some very heavy. What else is new. Grass is growing like a weed. This is unbelievable. Upcoming week ---- MORE BROILING JULY HEAT -- OH wait!! It's still only JUNE lol - Highs in the mid/upper 90s with dewpoints near 70-74. North Balti Zen
Lame here. The pavement is only damp. Yup. Moistening the tips of the grass is about the extent of it. Looked like DC got a really good hard rain though.
MN Transplant
Looks like a pretty even 1/3" to 1/2" around DC. Nice soaker.
Ellinwood
Oh hey would you look at that Looks like we'll be under overcast for the vast majority of today in MD/DC. Can't wait for this boundary to lift north!
bluehens
Please send it north a 100 or so miles. I will take the overcast and rain. Dry as a bone up here. catoctin wx
It was nice to see things actually wet outside this morning....although we only ended up with something like 0.05 inches. I think people in Delmarva are being a bit greedy lately
WxUSAF
Only 0.05" at BWI??? I don't have a rain gauge, but I'm pretty sure my total was much closer to DCA's 0.3". Rained steadily for several hours.

Rained steadily for several hours. It dropped off significantly as you moved north. Even the little bit north from your house up to BWi I would guess. I doubt even .05 at my house in NE Balti. Rained steadily for several hours. The four weather stations on Wunderground closest to Columbia were all in the 0.12"-0.14" range. It dropped off as you went east and north of you. The models were correct that the best totals would be west, some nice 1-2" totals out by Luray. edit - I should add that the high-res models did a nice job with the heavier stuff south of Fredericksburg too. Attached is yesterday's 12z WRF-ARW.
