cyclone77
The storms between Cedar Rapids and Des Moines have really weakened. SPC still maintains the same 30% wind area though. Chistorm is right about the outflow. The storms are moving mainly eastward, but the outflow is spreading southeast. We need the storms to take a harder turn southeast so they can keep up with the outflow.

cyclone77
A severe thunderstorm with 100 mph winds moving east at 90 mph in the direction of MKE? Sure looks impressive on radar. Looks like some very strong winds will pass very close to the radar site. Sure hope it doesn't knock it offline. Looks like a nice east/west oriented WAA wing setting up just north of Milwaukee too. Mogget
Those winds were very impressive when they came through Madison. I don't think they were 100 mph but I do think there's gonna be some damage once the sun comes up in the AM.

It's going to be hard watching the deep convection Eastern Iowa while a couple turds pass through Wisconsin. when ur old like me your body tells you when to lookout ahead of time. This AM the body was screaming good event upcoming. Now see if we can close the deal with a bowme blowing through MKE.. already got the warning out of the way.. kevlon62
AMAZING winds just ripped through here. Easy 40+ I think (don't want to be too excited and overestimate. I opened the sliding door just as they hit. Swirls of dust were rolling through the yards/alleys. Temperature seems to have dropped an easy twenty degrees. I am typing this from the deck now and the dust is layered on the keyboard. Two minutes later - Now calmer, cooler. Still dry.
