The lake effect blizzard left me with 3/10ths of an inch. LOL We did have mood flakes in the air for many hours and the temperatures were near 20F most of the afternoon...down to a low of 11F.

The cars you guys saw with snow most likely originated in the western Catskills ...somewhere above Liberty. Some spots there managed a few inches as the LES upsloped into the Catskills. It was a better trajectory for them. They will do pretty well in next weeks arctic airmass probably. A lot of NW winds forecast. Hope I get a spell of WNW winds here before they go more NW and NNW.

I saw three flakes fall from the sky while walking to my car after work...

There was a salt covered pickup parked next to me at Walmart this morning, I was wondering where he was from.

I have lilies coming up, granted they're planted next to the house so the ground is somewhat warm but still ..... Come on its almost January for Pete's sake lol.

ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Orange County Emergency Management team says 2011 was the busiest year for them in Orange County history.

The team says they handled 34 events this year. That includes responding to emergencies from Tropical Storm Irene and Lee, a tornado that touched down in Goshen, a heat wave in July and most recently, the October snow storm. The area was blanketed with snow just before Halloween, when leaves were still on trees................................
