weathafella
gfs bone dry for sne and the clipper on the 10th vaporizes, hopefully some redevelopment 2011, I endorse this notion. Not exactly bone dry. Has light to mdt ?ptype for coastal and snow interior Pike northward. But loses the redevelopment.

Damage In Tolland
Why do you guys even look at the any runs of the GFS at this time frame of a potential storm? I will never ,ever understand it . It's utterly pointless and useless

So I can expect 1-3 sun/mon? I need to know for business purposes, thanks rev.

moneypitmike
Well I definitely think we get a fresh arctic airmass in here after next weeks system...whether its snow or not. I find it funny that the block up there was the perfect strength to keep the clipper from amplifying yet not strong enough to retrograde the low back into us ala Dec 5-6, 1981 or last New Years. We need something to break our crappy luck. Your beginning to sound like me. By next week's system are you referring to the possible weekend event? CT Rain
Every other piece of model data..just nothing GFS based You originally said no operation runs... now I just can't use the op GFS. I'd like you make a forecast without this board or an AFD. You probably wouldn't be able to analyze a cold front within 400 miles.
Hazey
This is why we need the block to relax for a while. We need to get fresh arctic air in these parts. AWCN16 CWNT 032153 Summary weather statement issued by Environment Canada at 4:53 PM EST Friday 3 December 2010. Record warmth for the eastern Arctic again today... A large blocking high pressure ridge over the Labrador Sea continues to deflect weather systems northward over Baffin Island then east over Greenland. Mild north Atlantic air has been flowing northward with these systems, the latest of which is currently over Northern Baffin Island. As a result, Iqaluit and Cape Dorset broke records today. These temperatures were recorded at midnight at Cape Dorset, and early this morning at Iqaluit, after which time temperatures slowly dropped throughout the day. Temperatures will continue to drop slightly over the next day or two, but will remain above normal. Record previous record records Max temp record year began (Celsius) temp Iqaluit 2.9 2.0 1998 1946 Cape Dorset 1.2 -2.0 1998 1963 End Last time I saw this was......well last year...lol
