Mr. Windcredible!
I know I've seen a couple discussed recently on the board...the one specifically for Facebook as well as one other that was a paid app that was a bit more than I really would want to pay. Any free apps/services out there for alerting users of severe weather watches/warning either by text or through an app itself?

Mr. Windcredible!
I've got weatherbug and it alerts me when a watch/warning is issued I have the weatherbug app too...but the only alert is on the icon for the app itself with no vibration or anything...so its only noticeable if you actually look at the app icon. I'd like something that actually pops up a message or text.
KokomoWX
CellWarn WeatherUSA The Weather Channel Emergency Email & Wireless Network While not free, I personally use StormNow and at a cost of $2 per month, it is the best money spent. I almost always receive a warning email before the weather radio goes off.

on_wx
If any Canadians are reading this, The Weather Network has mobile warning messages for $3/month. Whenever EC issues a warning, you get a text about 3-5 minutes later for your city. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weatherapps/textmessaging (I had to turn off the daily forecast aspect through making a TWN account)
