Yeah - best in the area by far.

Red Bank will be on tonight no matter what they said, even if they have to start late.

I handt realized they were doing it tonight. I wonder if most other towns are doing their shows tonight instead of tomorrow.

Clearing pushing east now. Breaks of sun into E-PA /W-NJ. I think we can salvage the rest if the afternoon once the showers clear the beach areas.

Loudest storms I've heard yet this season at 845. Sounded like several bombs going off, shaking the house, nice way to ring in the 4th.

Intense convection in NW NJ right now -- should be interesting where that heads.

lol I slept right through it. All I've witnessed is run of the mill light rain. I was wondering why the game got delayed!

I expect a muggy warm afternoon/evening once we clear out

Yeah, its muggy already man. I hate humidity because everything in my house is so sticky when it's humid. I've lost any hope for today, but I think tomorrow will be much nicer; warmer and with low humidity!

I've given up too, as the pincers of storms seem to finally want to clamp together and work their was out east here in Port Jefferson just in time for BBQing. Muggy, sticky, slop. Time to put on Memories or The Time of Your Life while looking back at old iPhone photos from last summer. Lol.

We'll make up for it with an awesome 4th, trust me :) If this is what it takes to get awesome weather on July 4th so be it lol.

I totally agree. Tomorrow's more the day I'm counting on anyway. We gotta get those DPs below 65 hopefully. Of course, temp wise, let it roast

Yeah heat + low humidity beats this cloudy humid nonsense any time!

Another fabulous, low temp day for July.

What a difference with last years disgusting weather.

Sun might come out by 6pm.

lol i dont know but you have different standards for "fabulous" than most people do. I want all sun all the time, this is nothing like how summer is supposed to be.

Im sure most people around here hate this kind of weather, I know ABC rated it an F. Not good for BBQing or the beach and nothing like how summer is supposed to be in NY. Last year was MUCH better.

Mostly old fat sweaty people like this kind of weather lol.

What are you smoking today is nasty. I'd rather have near 90 if it meant very low humidity and a good breeze.

Yeah its pretty gross.....hopefully we clear out by 6-7pm for some fireworks. Had about .80 of rain with more to come and a high of 78, not exactly july 3rd type of weather.

Yeah I'd be the first to admit I hate high humidity regardless, and if we can get a high temp of 91 with like 40% humidity and a nice NW wind, I would take that anything else.

One thing that cannot be stressed enough is that kind of weather allows it to get really cool at night-- in the 50s and low 60s here-- while the current weather, although it means lower daytime temps, also makes the night time temps much warmer and adding to that the humidity, makes it awful for sleeping.

Temp wise. Humidity isn't that bad anymore. Was muggier in the morning.

As long as we avoid 90's, I'm happy.

The dew point is 68 here, that's pretty high.

Temp doesnt really mean anything, it doesn't define how your body feels. Humidity has much more to do with that.

My preference. I prefer this over anything approaching 90's.

To each their own.

Thanks.
