Good call John. Four loud claps of thunder here in the last minute. Nothing showing on radar yet. It must be blowing up very quickly. Maybe a bit of a seabreeze front helping out?

Tiny storm right near your location on GR2

Yep, right along the seabreeze front.

18z suite continues w/ the idea of decent storms overnight. Nice signal on the H7 charts with strong vv's exploding over NJ post 06z. Closed low should provide a sufficient moisture feed for intense, albeit brief convection. However I wouldn't be surprised to see flash flooding in the normally vulnerable spots if it plays out as expected, a quick 1"+ of rain.

Anyone got a loop of the rain from overnight? I got wrecked over here vivid lighting, monstrous thunder, pouring rains and over an inch of rain. LGA recorded 1.26 inches and JFK only .17!!!

We got hammered around 5:30 a.m. near HPN.

Most of the week looks pretty dry right now, maybe a 30% chance Tuesday through Friday but more hit and miss than anything

looks like clouds are going to put a lid on us today--and stop us from getting to 90.

Yep, yet another case of c louds getting in the way. Does look to be some breaks pushing east now out of PA. I didnt think we'd get this much cloud cover today. Soared up into the mid/upper 80s for a bit. maybe if we get more breaks later it'll push back up.
