CT Rain
How awesome is this Look at the backdoor front accelerating through Long Island Sound while it's advancing much more slowly over land and Long Island At the same time the sea breeze front off the Sound is stuck over areas just northeast of New Haven. powderfreak
73/47 this weather is CHRONIC, it was depressing even coming inside for a minute. Dude I completely understand what you were preaching all March and April... sunshine, mid/upper 60s all afternoon, very dry red-flag air with RH <30%, light breeze. This just does NOT get any better for outdoor activities. Running, mountain biking, hiking, basketball, softball, soccer, golf, etc... its almost euphoria-inducing its so perfect out there. Just got back from an 8-mile hike from one end of the mountain to the other, and even up on the 2-mile long ridgeline at over 4,000ft it was freakin' beautiful. powderfreak
I looked at the temp map and thought that the coastal plain in the 50s must be in fog or low clouds or something... then a quick look at the visible shows full sunshine! That must feel awesome after the high heat and humidity last week... 50s in mid afternoon in June under sunshine instead of fog and drizzle. Somewhere CT_Blizz is crying softly. Mr. Windcredible!
That backdoor means business. Sea breeze only dropped us from mid to low 70s...but the backdoor came through just after 5 and must've dropped us 12 degrees in 10 minutes. 59 right now...jackets needed at the park tonight.
