snowNH
No this stuff won't clear up. It will probably be damp tomorrow for the golf game. I was saying that some areas might be brightening tomorrow...especially CT. It looks worse up that way to be honest. Damps doable.. light rain not so much.. probably have to drink a lot of beers to enjoy it
CoastalWx
I wonder if that stuff near NYC, along the WF is going to be a South Coast hugger as we head into the aftn. Sometimes these things roll east...right along the WF.

Damage In Tolland
yeah seems like it's been a long time since we've had something like that. Well it seems like the summer is going to wet, stormy and humid.without any big heat which alot of us were thinking anyway...you have to figure as climo would dictate that we'll end up on the south side of the boundary the next time this happens..which might even be next week lol
Mr Torchey
72/66 looks like some possible flash flooding on the doorstep, or maybe just a hair north of here by the merritt
Mr Torchey
Hard to believe but we have had 6 out of the last 7 days above average here, last negative departure was on the 15th. This is ALL due to very warm overnight lows though. Still right at +2.0 for the month at BDR.

free_man
A couple 60 degree days with downpours and bonghits away from the greatest summer ever!! Just play this song over and over, it feels reeaal nice.
Typhoon Tip
Tip, any chance of clearing after this round of rain tonight? Not likely... Probably need Saturday afternoon at a minimum, at which time ....a kind of deteriated quasi warm sector more than less defaults its way as the high up N finally moves off and the llv col wind tends SW... But there will be so much moisture trapped below a residual inversion that the sun will have to work mightily - thankfully we are at the hottest insolation time of the year so therein is hope. The better clearing is Sunday when there is a clear WNW flow established per NAM's current PP layout.
Tropopause_Fold
STW now for winds in excess of 60 mph i wonder if the cell actually has a history of producing any meaningful wind.

Mr Torchey
i wonder if the cell actually has a history of producing any meaningful wind. That warned cell is going to pass about 5-10 miles north of me but more cells developing just north of nyc and west of nyc along the WF Phil, looks like a soaker, 1-3 inches of rain this afternoon looks very doable, absolutely pouring now. I apologize for being such a grumpy azz yesterday morning, sleep deprived but no excuse, my apologies.

CoastalWx
Looks like some mid level spin on the cell nw of BDR, but that doesn't mean much at this point.
Logan11
We probably will get a week or two where we break into the hot sub tropical dome of HP, but I prefer if it happens in late July because then you know it can't last....... 64 with -RN and fog. Most of this stuff has been south with some northern fringe touching me at times. Well it seems like the summer is going to wet, stormy and humid.without any big heat which alot of us were thinking anyway...you have to figure as climo would dictate that we'll end up on the south side of the boundary the next time this happens..which might even be next week lol
