Do not know how familiar you are with that area but having spent a lot of time through the years driving into Hartford I can attest to it's ability to heat up quickly. Often times the surrounding countryside is cooler and fresher feeling and smelling. As you approach the sudden increase in heat and general city smell quickly absorbs into all your pores. Quite possibly the valley and heat dome plays a huge part in it's micro clime. How anyone could drive daily into that metroplex of heat, stink and traffic in the summer ....

I know they heat up quickly...I'm just going through the thought process on temps. They probably will go into the lower 70s anyways, but it's worth mentioning how that could fail too.

Looks like most guidance now brings the warm front up to about the pike tomorrow afternoon..so it sped it up and shifted north. Friday could be fun

Just looking over 12z models...Friday's potential is certainly very interesting if we are able to destabilize enough...could be quite fun. Have to watch for discrete cells too.

I mentioned earlier we may have some tstms down there tomorrow.

I think I saw your post...just breezed through the 9 pages I missed while I was at work.

Could see some storms spill into western sections tomorrow. Like Kevin said though perhaps Friday holds better potential for more in the way of fun but we'll see.

Yeah today was awful AMOUT

Tomorrow doesn't look much better though I think there may be a dry period mid morning through early/mid afternoon.

If you go back in this thread and look...most of you were saying today would be decent and Thur-Sat were the bad days. That doesn't look to be working too well.

Everything sped up..with today being the worst day..the warm front lifting north faster tomorrow afternoon AIT..and Friday being decent with pm storms.

And most importantly..there's no cool drain from the NE..just high dews 65-70 AIT

Dews still in the mid 60's up in S NH

i need to VENT!!! what the flip??? what ever happened to the art of nowcasting??? i check the weather every morning before work...daily conditions are very important to people who work outside jobs...this morning at 630am i check the weather a final time before getting in my car and heading out...both wbztv.com and whdh.com offered pretty much the same forecast...sunny breaks to mostly cloudy...highs in the upper 70's (worcester) chance of a shower late afternoon west of worcester...

thanks a bunch meteorologists, it poured on and off all day starting at 720am, and the temp never got above the mid 60's...

is tomorrow going to be sunny, humid in the 90's? (it very well could be)

Back door will drop south from up north. Dews won't drop too much since the atmosphere is humid, but it could be a raw day fro most tomorrow. Even Friday is questionable, especially ne of BDL.

TOMORROW...THE WARM FRONT SHOULD LIFT NORTHWARD THROUGHOUT MUCH OF

THE REGION. THEREFORE...DECIDED TO GO A TAD HIGHER THAN MOST MODEL

GUIDANCE REGARDING HIGH TEMPERATURES BASED ON THE FACT THAT

TEMPERATURES SOARED TO THE 80S AS CLOSE BY AS THE CENTRAL PA AND

EXTREME SW NY. SEE NO REASON WHY THIS AIR WILL NOT BE OVER EASTERN

NEW YORK AND EVEN ADJACENT WESTERN NEW ENGLAND BY TOMORROW

AFTERNOON. CLOUDS WILL DOMINATE...BUT EXPECT SOME BREAKS IN THEM BY

MIDDAY. AS THAT HAPPENS...SURFACE BASED INSTABILITY WILL INCREASE

QUITE BIT...POSSIBLY REACH 1500 J/KG OR BETTER.

WHILE THE WARM FRONT SHOULD BE JUST NORTH OF THE REGION

The main issue tomorrow is, even if the warm front passes through will be the sfc winds and wind sin the lowest 100mb or so of the atmosphere. If sfc winds are more from the SE that is going to throw a great deal of low-level moisture into the region. It does appear though there will be some drying aloft but the low level clouds deck could be rather thick...the sun angle this time of year is at it's strongest so perhaps it can erode it enough to allow for some sunshine but with virtually no capping in place and a great deal of lift clouds are just going to develop and showers/t'storms will form.

Not sure if anyone in SNE can get anywhere past the low 70's tomorrow.
