LOL.

well it is a *weather* board...so figured it might make some degree of sense to talk about the coming weather. or we can just post obs about the current sunshine and past few days and talk about golf i guess.

It looks like the opportunity is there for some heavy rain too on Thursday. Euro and SREFs hint at this. That would make sense if the warm front is not too far south. This time of year, you want the front close by for heavier rains.

Over under for you.

BDL/IJD/PVD all hit 70 or higher Thursday and Friday with dews in the 65-68 range

Yeah 70 is possible if we happen to have a nice break in the rain and dews maybe low to mid 60s, but what's the difference? It's still way below normal for daily highs.

Well that ridiculous NAM panel you posted had highs in the 50's and dews in the 50's north and east of the pike.

well it's just an example. not a forecast.

summertime stuff can be tricky - only takes a few breaks in the overcast to bump temps nicely.

i just don't think anyone is going to look back at thur and fri and describe them as "typical, warm, humid, scattered showers and plenty of breaks of sun" or whatever it was you said earlier.

I think Fri day and Saturday we will be able to look back and describe them exactly as that...Maybe not Thursday..though it'll be muggy to be sure on thurs.

I think it may all be relative to where we live. Our views in CT (mine and Ryans) are more optimistic and summery than BOS or someone near the hell hole North Atlantic ocean

yeah that might have something to do with it...who knows.

though i think ryan described the forecast as "AWFUL"

pretty amazing that late last week tue-thu/fri were looking really really warm on some guidance. i think the euro verbatim had a run or two that would have been 90s.

Funny you mention that, because a friend of mine said the exact same thing yesterday. We've had persistent weak ridging to our northeast, and that's been more stubborn as compared to what models were forecasting. I think last week, models were trying to go + with the NAO, but that isn't happening yet. The euro has the NAO going neutral, but not until just after 7/4.

Yeah Kevin's weather is definitely not representative of a place like ORH or up through NE MA. We'll often be east wind and 62F while its like 70F down there with breaks of sun...then in winter the CAD events he'll be 34F and rain while its 29F and icing here. Location can change perspective.

LOL, you love to throw that in.
