57/51 nice and cool

Yet my brother is using his ac because he said its too hot with the window open lol. I told him to keep his window open and he might actually be cooler by morning but he refuses and wants to use the ac. I would make him shut it off if I could. What a waste haha.

It's easy to make using the AC a habit in summer, regardless of whether the temperatures merit it. I sometimes become accustomed to the sound and air quality associated with AC and thus don't want to turn it off, but I know it's much healthier and better for the environment to have the windows open. Unfortunately, my house is small and takes a good amount of time to cool off, so we generally need slightly below average temperatures in summer for me to shut it off for sleeping (I rarely use AC in the daytime, and we only have wall units in the bedrooms anyway). Also, my climo is a lot warmer than yours...June averages like 78/58 here, July around 85/65, and August like 82/62. Early June and late August are usually cool enough to avoid using it, but the meat of the summer can be tough. During Summer 2009, I only used the A/C 4-5 times. Warm/humid summers like '06 or '07 had the AC on at least every other night, if not more. 2008 was brutal in Jun, but August had a great cool shot with lows down to 50F a few nights, way below normal for here.

I used it for two days during that mid/upper 80's torch.... Certainly don't need it now with 46F out there. :)

don't get me wrong, It IS funny , the irony really shows through.... the people enjoying it so much , at least on here, are the ones who fall into that awful stereotype. Boring, uninspiring upper-middle class western culture at it's most depressing. I guess that should be left as one of those unspoken type of gems. :) And I am a dad, my daughter Ashlyn is 6 years 7 months.

You're about as fun as a bout with cancer.

Lighten up...you might actually enjoy life a bit.

Leave him alone. He is inspiring people and living the exciting life, unlike us schlubs.
