smoof
looks like the RGEM was right in saying a big bust for Michigan the last several runs, I usually like to see what it has to say about squall lines since it seems decent at forecasting them.... still got a severe storm in the area, but it was pretty much right with just some very scattered severe storms... smoof
And as much as everyone pans the HRRR it did decent today. yeah the HRRR did ok most of the day, early in the morning it was showing more of a bow echo squall line, but then later on it went to more discreet cells which is what we got at my location anyways, i'd give it a 6-10 accuracy rating today, not bad but not great. Stebo
Your avatar is silly SEMIweather. Looking back at yesterday it looks like the front just didn't enough convergence with it especially south of I-69. Oh well there is always next time

Looking back at yesterday it looks like the front just didn't enough convergence with it especially south of I-69. Oh well there is always next time Lol I just had to put it up. Obviously the day had a lot of potential because the storms that did get going were fairly strong...but like you said there probably just wasn't enough forcing down our way. I promise I'll switch avatars the next time part of Oakland County is under a thunderstorm or tornado warning...and I really don't think it'll be too long until that happens.
