i don't think thats making any impact, the sun was out all day around the state, its as unstable as its gonna get, its just waiting on the cold front to trigger something.

thats what has been really lacking so far, a trigger and also the cooler mid level temp to help ease the cap.

The cirrostratus probably won't have a HUGE impact, I'd just prefer if it weren't there. It can act as a lid on vertical development if the forcing isn't strong enough.

looks like the storm is going more linear and storms are filling in to the south, should become a pretty solid line of svr. storms.

Btw this storm is kinda proving the radar hole in Central MI, all 3 radars are hitting this thing pretty high, so its tough to get a real accurate reading on it.

I really hate the radar hole here, most of the time when we do rarely get a good lake effect snow the radar shows nothing because it cuts the lower levels off here.....

... A Tornado Warning remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for central

Jeff Davis County...

At 628 PM CDT... National Weather Service meteorologists continued to

detect a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado. This

storm was located over moon Road 35 miles northwest of McDonald

observatory or 10 miles north of Valentine. The storm was moving

southeast at 10 mph.

Some locations affected by this storm include... moon Road in

central Jeff Davis County... open country of central Jeff Davis County.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A tornado may form at any time... take cover now. Abandon Mobile

homes and vehicles for more substantial shelter. Avoid windows.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT

Tuesday evening for southeast New Mexico and southwestern Texas.
