tombo82685
decent change in the vortex, its stronger than 12z, but height wise its not as crushing in the se states where its lifting out. Instead of it being a deep trof, it flattened out, more w to e instead n to s

SnowGoose69
what a joke....waste of a good pattern due to, once again, the stupid vortex over Maine. a worse version of 2.5 Exactly why La Ninas suck...they either are too warm (Dec 98/99) or when you do get a cold setup they are too dry (Dec 89/00). nzucker
510 thickness from m/d line north, with 504 thickness over saranac lake This is always the problem with La Niña winters...it gets cold after the storms, not before/during them. We had cold last weekend, now 1" rain today, brutally cold coming up, and then the NAO lifts and we probably get another cutter or marginal SW flow event before it goes back to being brutally cold again.
