HoarfrostHubb
As a professional builder I can tell you that Massachusetts has one of the most stringent building codes in the U.S.. All homes must be anchor bolted to the foundation. This has been the code for quite some time. Many of the destroyed homes I saw pics of looked like older triple decker types that looked like they were blown over. Triple decks are usually pretty sturdy
DavisStraight
Surprised Springfield isn't under a severe thunderstorm warning that cell looks pretty burly. Thats stuff looks as bad and covers a bigger area than whats gone through already.

dan11295
Based on the multiple reports of debris falling combined with the radar signature, would appear likely there was significant damage from that tornado. Just unclear where the worst was.
ORH_wxman
LOL you picked the wrong city to visit.... Springfield, not ORH Just had huge CG hit very close, some pea sized hail, downpour I wouldn't have advised chasing that storm from the east anyway...dangerous direction to come from.
