powderfreak
NECN just showed picture from Oxford, tornado on the ground still (probaly idk, ten minutes ago?) Has there been any indication that this Tornado lifted off the ground at any point between Springfield and Oxford? If not that's a long-tracker for New England! Wow. DeVries
Oh baby...was just on the Mass Pike heading west...people were calling me from the Springfield area telling me about the Tornado but I didn't believe them. Figured it was some strong wind gusts. Was pounded by hail from that cell around Wilbraham...ok, not good... Then I swear I saw some rotating clouds/debris on the ground about a mile ahead by the pike...that was very scary Then I saw the damage in the south end of Springfield caused by that tornado driving down I-91 south...wow. If I had left Boston about 30 minutes earlier I would have been driving right in that mess.

free_man
The helicity was great today. Those hodographs meant business. Yeah and it took several days to evolve within the model soundings and data. The setup sceamed CT valley veering, even if the models over the weekend didn't quite catch on.
