The storm that hit me this am pulsed from nothing to nickel-sized hail in about 10 mins, and right overhead. These CU still will be moving into high temp/dp and llj

wxmanmitch
All done here, but not without 3 distinct hail cores moving overhead. First produced penny sized hail around 3:10 PM, second produced pea sized around 3:40 PM, and the third produced quarter sized hail around 3:52 PM. It was loud! Had lots of close cloud to ground lightning with each cell. Strong low-level wind shear also evident as cells moved overhead as scud was coming in from the south, but cell motion was coming from the west. Very little wind at my location, just a lot of heavy rain, lightning and hail. Exciting afternoon to say the least.
