I know... people are getting up earlier and earlier. You'd be surprised how many people watch 430-500 lol.

WPIX starts at four A.M. I remember twenty years ago when WNBC decided to start at six A.M. and that was a big deal. Not long before that, morning programming was Captain Kangaroo.

And now morning TV is a cash cow for news departments. The 11pm is fading in importance and now AM is king. Funny how things change.

Most people are asleep by then. The next big change is by and large the elimination of the local sports report as Len Berman, Scott Clark, Warner Wolf, and Bill Mazer can attest to.

Moving pretty fast... looks like into W MA/CT 12z-13z. Should be ample time to destabilize after in E NY/W CT & MA

I think it will start to weaken a bit though.

Some of those meso models really develop a ton of crap this morning. Hopefully they are wrong, but it appears to be tied to WAA.

Yeah the HRRR does as well. Unfortunately.

That may be why the threat winds up further west... E NY/W SNE where things can destabilze.

I still think that stays mostly north of the CT border..maybe clipping NW CT..Keep it up there

It's early in the day so I'm not too worried about it. It's also not some huge remnant MCS that's producing a wide swath of clouds and rain for hundreds of miles.

Yeah true. Just a line so far, but hopefully we don't see stuff blossom everywhere. We'll see.

sat loop is somewhat promising that this is it. HRRR goes nuts with development over SNE later this morning so who knows. I'm willing to bet it's this line and then we are quiet for a period of time.

It looks like the stuff that models have coming trough late day might be along the actual front? Some of the models are pretty dam impressive with those. SREFs seem impressive still.

As usual, probably a nowcast thing.
