meteorjosh
NEXRAD has a tor on the ground NE of Albany, radar sig is great with that storm .... well at least a tight couplet just above the surface
tornadojay
there is no doubt that shear over central and northern new england is looking better. Mesoscale analysis is showing 500 mb winds in excess of 50 knots.. there is also good directional shear as well.
NorEaster27
CAP is still holding strong over the area, up into NNE shear and forcing are much better hence the strong stroms despite less CAPE.

Manny
Current Radar- http://radar.weather.gov/radar.php?rid=DIX&product=NCR&overlay=11101111&loop=yes Pockets of instability to the west, heading east, don't know whether this will fall out.
tornadojay
I'm not too concerned yet. I still see the storms in eastern PA pulsing and re-intensifying.. plus I'm starting to see some echoes in northern rockland and southern orange county.
Allsnow
2 tor warned cells in NH...pretty impressive.
IsentropicLift
Action over NE is exploding where the better shear is. Storms entering NJ are looking better, but more multicellular in nature and nothing severe....yet.
Neblizzard
Seems like the best forcing is north of NYC like usual! Storms are trying to fire over eastern pa but they are pulsating, with capes over 3500 j/kg they should go severe at some point..
blizzardof09
I just hope I get the opportunity today to test my first weather radio that I overnighted Monday so I could use it and see how it works today with the watches and warning etc. I'm hoping that if a tornado decides to put my house in its crosshairs this can actually gives me a heads up to get my a** to the basement haha
Superstorm93
Something is definitely preventing development in NNJ.
Metsfan
Something is definitely preventing development in NNJ. it's because of the outflow boundary from the storm that was north of allentown that weakened.
Superstorm93
it's because of the outflow boundary from the storm that was north of allentown that weakened. Ah, yeah. Had to switch to the L3 composite to see it. Unfortunate. So much potential there.
IsentropicLift
Brand new cell to the north of Scranton is going to be a big producer. Its all by itself.
SRRTA22
Ah, yeah. Had to switch to the L3 composite to see it. Unfortunate. So much potential there. Wow, so basically N.NJ/NYC is screwed out of this event?
TheTrials
Wow, so basically N.NJ/NYC is screwed out of this event? Pretty normal. The best stuff IMHO was always progged to be to the north. Its not too late yet, but its getting close to being too late.

IsentropicLift
That cell over Warren county is going to likely miss the city itself but it has a good shot at affecting alot of us. It's in a unique location because there are no storms in front of it to choke it off. Its definitly becoming better organized on radar. Keeping my fingers crossed.
