looks like i will get nailed tonight

Me and you both JCWXGUY, Omaha and Lincoln could be in line for quite a "derecho event" tonight. Everything is in place, and there won't be much to stop this intense line before it gets to Eastern Nebraska. The text on the PDS Watch saying 90 MPH winds are LIKELY is something we don't usually see with Severe Thunderstorm Watches out here, let alone a PDS for one.

Can one of you Omaha guys, let me know when your stations go live streaming?

Yeah, the best bet would be KETV Channel 7... they usually have the best live severe weather coverage here in Omaha. I will post something if they have something go up "live" online. In a situation like this, they better be ready.

yeah, usually dont see those that often. Looking at radar though, storms in the northern part of the line are getting weaker. Too bad ill be at work when these hit (hotel)

Those "weaker" storms are still spewing out 70 MPH winds though and are still Severe warned. Will be interesting if those even more intense storms on the south end of the line work their way a little more north. Either way, still a lot of time for this line to either strengthen or weaken before it gets to Omaha-Lincoln.

There is actually a bunch of tornadic activity along the squall line currently. It's really interesting to watch the LLJ interacting with the squall line, it's pinching off vortices on the leading edge. Mostly 50 kt or less couplets (prob a bunch of EF-0s), but the LLJ is strengthening.

Omaha's definitely about to get slammed. Probably will be a quick hitter though; about 30 minutes of heavy rain and destructive winds.

Don't think it will top the June 2008 'Storm of the Decade' Omaha had when I was living there but definitely keeping an eye out because of family still there. Seems like the line is bowing out a little more as it's getting closer to the Omaha metro. Could be mistaken though.

Do you know what time this was? Great vid btw.

My first report to your office was at 6:33 - we had 1 brief tornado touchdown with a power flash under the actual wall cloud. Just after that, we looked to our East and had the large gustnado (which I'm assuming it was the fire department was reporting) under the gust front. At one point, I'd estimate that it was over 1/2 mile wide and it did pick up some debris including what looked like a few pieces of roof from a barn. The meso/wall cloud caught up with the gustnado and the gustnado connected with the rotation/wall cloud where there was a visible funnel that extended from the wall cloud all the way to the ground (hence my second report of a brief tornado touchdown). There were literally so many gustnadoes that we couldn't even keep track of them all. Here are some of the other videos we took:

LOTS OF ROTATION. SEVERAL FUNNELS REPORTED BY STORM
