Just and went out and took a look...one block east of my parent's house, there's a tree that got totally uprooted onto a house. Ouch for them. Other than that, a good amount of limbs and leaves littering the neighborhood here. Pretty awesome storm. cyclone77
Kind of a surprising lack of wind reports coming out... Yeah it seems to be somewhat spotty. Maybe it's because of the inversion that was in place this morning. We had a report of 60mph winds here in town, but I saw maybe 30mph winds. It's almost like the stronger winds stayed just aloft, except maybe in a few locations that happened to get stronger downdrafts.
Hoosier
Kind of a surprising lack of wind reports coming out... I wonder if I-80 northward was a little too stable in the low levels for much of the wind to make it down. I will be interested to see the reports south of there. Newton/Jasper and perhaps southern Lake/Porter probably got in on it, but we won't have the density of reports that we would've had if it went farther north. Thundersnow12
have better pictures but not wanting to upload for some reason. It's a big conditional risk but *IF* southeast NE can break that cap later on, it could be interesting.
Ajdos
Kind of a surprising lack of wind reports coming out... Sometimes these squall lines, mcs, tend to look a lot worse on the radar then what is actually going on.. seen it happen to many times here in S/E Michigan.. Only particular cells in the line reach severe limits, not the whole line..
