Nah October/November is good...

Come December its time for winter and hibernation time for youSnowman.gif

LOL...might be an interesting winter this year...been a while since we have had neutral conditions, just wondering what ramifications the drought in the south and southwest might play should it continue and actually spread some....?

The drought should be gone by then... looks like a wet and (relatively) mild summer down there in Texas this year, along with the threat of a number of tropical cyclones that could make landfall in and around the Gulf Coast. The big heat should stay north of there as the mean subtropical ridge lifts northward into the central Plains and allows a weakness with lower heights and onshore flow to impact the Texas area. Looks hot and dry across from the Plains eastward into the Ohio Valley though. So it shouldn't have any effect.

Really looks like the surface boundary should hang up over north central or northern illinois this weekend into next week, Given the expected MCS activity, i'd lean south over north. Either way, a lot of wet areas should see multiple rounds of storms.

Haven't seen an area of 1.5"+ this large in a while

When is sunshine and warmth going to come and finally stay for the summer? This summer is replaying 2009 with a June heatwave but otherwise CRAP weather. Two weeks out on the models looks like more of the same crap.

Time to do it... summer cancel.

Some amazing graphics on tonight's blog post - also for those along the Missouri River a Facebook page has been set up - lot of photos and info.

Check out the Texas rainfall info - just amazing

Some places in East Texas needing >20.00" to bust the drought, that's just astounding. The worse part, they might get a tropical system to come and dump that in one storm, which would be like dumping a huge bucket of water on a table.

68/59 out

Gawd we've been spoiled by the cool lake breeze this spring and its starting to look like a lot of june will be going down in my icepuss. This dream spring/june surely can't last and paybacks going to be a beach, but we'll make the best of if with more trips to the lakes to let him swim instead of the dog parks for his daily exercise.. He is getting up there in age where swimming instead of chasing the young pups around for an hr will be easier on his body and he just can't get enough of fetching his tennis ball in the water.
