Not a predict each day contest...just a "how high" can we get contest.

Predict the highest high of the upcoming warm/heat wave...and for extra credit (tiebreaker) predict the date.

PHL:

ACY (AC Airport):

MPO (Mount Pocono):

PTW (Pottstown):

Deadline is Friday....

I did pretty well today.. 93 in PHL. Was low by a degree at PTW. I'm not sure any day of the week will be warmer than today - thoughts?

I don't think tomorrow will be...maybe not even 90 depending on the strength of that easterly flow. but we have a tendency to torch right before a fropa, so if convection holds off long enough wed. then i think we have a *shot* at outdoing today.

Agreed, getting to 90 today may happen west of the Del. River and if it does it ain't by much. Wednesday could torch like you said, we'll see what the timing of the front and clouds do to try to stop temps. from passing 90.......I think it can happen, but I have my doubts we surpass Monday's highs.

Busted low at PTW. Thought it would be a little cooler up there.

Living a few miles from the airport, I can tell you it always runs higher than most stations in the area (as does my house). It did last summer as well that's why I picked it to be the highest in this stretch. I thought PHL with ocean, bay or river influence would run a few degrees cooler. Wrong.
