this line reminds me of a few already that passed through the Apps , even though this time its a little different with the cooler, drier air on the east side of the mtns. So not sure what to expect, but so far its organizing, and the momentum off the mountains usually pretty strong, or has been about every time this has happened. WE'll see soon.

I'm hearing thunder now...atleast 30 miles from the storms. The northern edge appears to be blossoming northward as it comes off the mountains, and also bowing north to south to cover much of the Upstate of SC. Watch out Spartanburg and Gaffney to Union in a little bit.

Power just went off for 2 minutes. Not sure what happened but its back on. Trees are sagging everywhere from the strong winds!

Edited to add: An incredible line of storms is towards Atlanta. These storms mean business and have some ridiculous hail and lightning. Protect yourself and family

Ditto. Lights been flashing here with several gusts over 50 mph (highest was 54 mph) and a ton of lightning. Definitely an A+

About half inch of rain and pea sized hail - we really needed the rain

I've got mammatus clouds over my house right now!!!! wow!!! Pics to follow!

When I left my house there were a ton of mammatus. We had pea sized hail at my parents in north Acworth. I'm glad we avoided the golf balls you dealt with.
