Unbelievable. No rain since May 27th other than a few drops. Rain is on the east end of town and not mine - probably get +0.25. Happy for them, but frustrating business. Well, time to pull out the hose to water the garden again. Maybe we'll steal a shower yet. Storms have a very slow southern movement. Maybe since it is still early in the afternoon, the instability will be around for round two.

Yeah not a drop here either. Storm to the north was coming right at me but dissipated then one went just to the west. The outflow boundary went to the south of me and storms are popping up there.

looks like the overall coverage is where we thought it would be...east Tn, sw VA, wst NC,SC, northern and central GA. Hopefully everyone gets something but its hard to cover everybody. Don't get explicitly by the cell motion on these, at any time the outflows will cause new ones to pop up, so if the radar doesn't look encouraging where you are, it doesn't guarantee you'll get missed. Likewise, one coming straight for you can fizzle and reform elsewhere around you. Just the nature of these kind of slow movers.

Thunder and a warning here now.

Man what a lightning display. Storm is basically stationary. I cracked my sliding glass door to my deck. For the past 15 minutes I have heard the clicks of the lightning strikes and then been rocked over and over. Been a long time since I've heard that and never for 15 minutes. Usually, if at all, it is one or two strikes as the core moves over you. Power has been out twice during that time but came back on within 3 minutes both times. Didn't rain until the last 5 min. Hard to type this with a 90 pound dog cowering half in my lap.

Cool thanks for the update Robert! Hoping an outflow boundary sparks something here.

I know Robert's got a good storm going on for him. Cleveland county's swamped like Mecklenburg. Meanwhile, the best I've got are visible storm tops from the thunderstorms to my east and west with full sun.

I hope it hits..hearing the thunder but these kind of storms can just dissipate and reform immediately around you. Guess we'll see.

Holy crap! 3.30 inches and counting within the last 45 minutes! So nice, since I had no rain since May! Finally!

those are the best, redeeming storms. Glad you got hit!

Oh my! Send some down here!

I think we have a decent chance still man. There is a cluster of storms to the south threatening to send a big outflow boundy up towards Cobb. It might miss us to the southwest but it could easily head this way. Not to mention that the storms are slowly closing in on us.....

Fingers crossed.

Nooooo! The kiss of death! Just kidding. I've been watching that outflow boundary slowly move this way. It has promise!
