jhamps10
Yep were doing just that, hoping for a solid bass fishing pond in the area to wait on CI. Carlyle Lake would be your best bet.... only 20 miles north of Nashville.. anyway if your in SPI now you won't have long to wait on storms... A-L-E-K
I'm going all out and saying this may be the biggest Tornado day of the year....actual FINAL number wise..or at least close ..the "surprise:" stuff in MO is really going to help inflate the numbers before the main show starts later keep in mind I'm not talking about prelim numbers...some of the longer tracked tornadoes earlier this spring has 10-20+ seperate reports that ended p being the same tornadoes on those days String of cells in southern MO looking very healthy, now: http://www.wundergro...0&rainsnow=Hide Going to have to watch some of those in southern MO as they ride up that boundary along I70, some long track potential there later. weathergy
Every hour I feel less and less optimistic. Yeah, I know this line is impressive, but not impressive enough to produce warnings for SEMI. Don't think the instability is going to make it north enough per HRRR. Oh well, enjoy the incoming squall.

thewxmann
What was the final count for the biggest day in the April outbreak in the south? Somewhere in the 140s I believe (143 was the last CONFIRMED count I recall seeing on the NOAA website). Very close to the Superoutbreak count. janetjanet998
I really, really hope you are wrong. Those are prelim reports..not acutal...the actual count was lower becase many of those reports are duplicates from longer trackers I don;t expect the instensity and long tracks that we had that day(although it will still be bad) ...just more overall tonadoes becuase of the wider region affected and mutiple waves over the same areas you can bet the reports so far on the SPC map today were not duplicates about 10 so far

Yep, sirens were blaring here. Couldn't tell if it was just Purdue's sirens, they sort of overpower the county sirens when you're just a couple blocks from campus. Chicago WX
I always forget what side of town our LAF guys are on. East side for me. Hoosier is more south-central I'd say. Some good gusty winds with this latest cell. Wouldn't be surprised if there isn't localized damage somewhere around here.
