June Forecast Contest, Temperatures

With the warm up fail in the Northeast over the past few days, OHSnow's numbers are looking solid:

Oh I didn't even see his guess... I think he's been the likely winner unless BOS gets above +.3... DCA is going to finish above almost everyone and BOS below... so it's going to come down to spread mostly and he has the largest gradient of 3.5. Rodney's gradient is only 2. You've got 1.7 and I've got 1.6. Quakertown has 1.8. Inudaw has 1.6 and Phil has 1.5. Everyone else either doesn't have enough gradient, or guessed way too warm or cold.

Predicted based on today and NWS through the 31st:

BOS: -1.0

NYC: +1.3

DCA: +3.8

Amazing that the Northeast finished the month with near-normal temperatures (cooler to the NE, warmer to the SW) after the early heat wave. Many of us were thinking June would finish >+3F considering how hot we started and what the models were showing. Marine layer locked in for the second half of the month.
