well we shall try again tomorrow.. i think tomorrow will be better storm-wise and severe weather wise

tomorrow looks like it might have more of a trigger and more activity overall but not sold on much real severe threat yet. on that level today probably looked a bit better.

nice discrete supercells in OK

blocky 500 pattern over eastern u.s. = no good... notes for the future. im pretty sure it would have happened regardless. not seeing tornadoes during the biggest tornado season ever is a good story.

i have never seen a large expanse of flat land, so it would have impressed me either way.

I think most yrs I would be fine with the trip and I'm glad I went but it is a little tough to watch the before and after. Still the prime chase territory stuff has been a bit limited.. Yesterday wouldn't have been easy-- I'm not sure I could take seeing something like Joplin anyway.. That's gotta scar you. Next yr!

Agreed. Heck, it was tough seeing Mike Bettes break down in tears live on TV.

I know this really isn't related to our specific area, but this is a weather board, so........tomorrow is a classic setup if there ever was one. Keep your radars tuned on the OK/KS/MO area. We could see some monster super cells tomorrow. I just hope the tornadoes hit open areas.

Tomorrow could sneak up.. sorta subtle but the 500 pattern is not bad

prob iso storms or so if they happen, but the sim radar looks to have a supercell over central va at 0z mon

mostly agree with the north placement of the 5%... never know tho. 500/850 look is a bit nw of optimal for past tornado days around here. maybe we can tal end charley a tornado through d.c. ;)

Not sure I see two rounds. I think overall it's still kinda marginal but hopefully we get something.

looks like the better choice. these high clouds are not going to help much though some stuff is going in the higher elev now. the se corner of VA looks decent so far, plus you like blue sky busts...

We might need to ban the word classic soon.

It looks very good. But, I'll bet on an under-performer based on expectations here. I wish I was there...

Hmmm.....any chance that stuff pushing through central ohio can make it over the mountains and into our area after midnight? Looks like a handful of torn warnings nearing columbus.

We need Yoda derecho composites.
