GR2AE says that its still lofting a fair amount of liquid. No hail up top, yet..

i guess it was temporary.. tho cant say im terribly impressed with it yet

Thoughts for DC?

I doubt they will see anything soon as VIS continues to show Cu primarily along the higher elevations of the Blue Ridge. RUC soundings still show a descent amount of inhibition across the region as well as of 18z. As far as this evening goes, I think that we may see an isolated storm or two based on the latest RUC forecast soundings which show inhibition lessening through out the afternoon until it reaches a minimum around 21z.

LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL UP TO THE

SIZE OF PING PONG BALLS AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.

THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 6 MILES

SOUTHWEST OF KEYSER TO 7 MILES SOUTHEAST OF BAYARD...AND MOVING

That stuff in southeast WV is over 35,000 ft. The one SE of Beckley has big hail.

Here's the warning statement for it

AT 348 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO

INDICATE A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING GOLF BALL SIZE

HAIL...AND DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THIS STORM WAS

LOCATED NEAR PIPESTEM...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

That stuff just popped up in the last hour.
