Hoosier
Its spooky- this better not be final destination, american wx forum style.... I actually had a dream about a tornado hitting here last month (I rarely dream about tornadoes). 2 days later is when the EF2 hit to my south. on_wx
Amazing that it appears we had 2 of our members hit on consecutive days. We're a growing bunch but we're not that big. Have there been others on Amex or eastern that have been hit by tornadoes before?

jhamps10
Have there been others on Amex or eastern that have been hit by tornadoes before? We had one come within 3 blocks of me in 97, had small pieces of wood landing in the front yard,
cyclone77
Wouldn't be hard to find me in this dinky little town of 1600 people. Chances are I'd be outside of town filming the thing anyway lol.
Crazieman
I don't actually live in Wichita, I live nearby in Andale, KS which has less than 1000 people.

Whether or not there have been others, the events of the last few weeks really go to show a buddy system is appropriate. It's not a nice feeling knowing someone is missing even if you've never met them before.

I didn't know it was storming there until he asked for a wx report beacuse his cable and internet went out. I sent him a GR screenshot, then didn't hear from him for 30 min after. That was pretty scary.
MJW155
Have there been others on Amex or eastern that have been hit by tornadoes before? I was hit by a tornado in Wyoming. It was tiny, EF-0 but still scared the crap out of me. Was helping a friend move to California so we drove from NJ to San Fran. We stopped at a hotel and the tornado hit the truck as I was parking it.
