VAwxman
Just scanning the latest posts as I am not in front of a TV, but does anyone really know what's going on in Dallas? Other than the hail I mean. Seems there are conflicting reports about whether or not a tornado is on the ground there?

CBS in Dallas is reporting a large tornado going up and down in southern Dallas that's all I know

tornadotony
CBS Dallas is reporting a wedge tornado on the ground with debris per another met in the Lancaster, SE Dallas county.... Based off radar, I'd put the probability of that being the case at just above 0%...not an impressive radar image at all.

Seems there are conflicting reports about whether or not a tornado is on the ground there? There have either been multiple wedges wiping out parts of the city or reports of such made by people we shouldn't believe. The current cell is pretty hot looking. Rotation on free radar doesn't seem incredibly tight but who knows.

Other than the hail I mean. Seems there are conflicting reports about whether or not a tornado is on the ground there? The current SE Dallas tornado may end up being different, but so far no big tornado events or damage. The usual DFW tornado outbreak: lots of sound and fury, little damage, with trained weather wankers reporting 100 of every 10 tornadoes.

But it came from Dallas County RACES, so it's believable.

( wedge was the reported tornado type)
Witness Protection Program
For example, DFW's channel 5 reported "Extensive damage in Saginaw." An hour later, "...including extensive damage to a home in Saginaw."
Santa Clause
I think Dallas/suburbs pretty much just had a severe t storm...nothing too bad. Not sure why all the unsubstantiated reports are popping up??
Chrisrotary12
Please tell me that isn't a weak echo hole that the radar is picking up on the cbs live feed. That would be a monster tornado

Memphis Weather
The Dallas market may be the worst TV market in the country for severe weather coverage...which is shocking. One station not even bothering to come on air...another taking commercial breaks as the tornadic circulation is over Downtown Dallas...yet another led by somebody who makes Dave Brown here in Memphis look like a Greg Forbes...and overall horrendous reporting that's leading to multiple errorenous or at least misleading/confusing things getting out there. Just embarrassing... Not every market is going to be OKC obviously...but what a contrast Today.
thewxmann
LCLs are still rather high, so it's probably a funnel or rainshaft disguised as a tornado.
Superstorm93
TOG per Dallas county police.

Except for the fact that there has been baseball sized hail throughout the Metro, multiple spotter reports from the past couple hours of tornadoes, power flashes live on camera, and such. Yup, just a severe storm.
