blueheronNC
NBC DFW was too quick to discount that as a rain shaft when it could just as easily be a rain-wrapped funnel.

Witness Protection Program
DFW tv stations need to get schooled on how to offer streaming coverage online. KFOR has set the standard for live weather coverage, becoming an instant Twitter top trending topic. Sadly, it is on purpose. Previously the Fox station has offered excellent coverage of outbreaks, with their chopper in the sky. All that stations normally compete in their coverage. But tonight Fox doesn't want anything competing with a rigged American Idol, same with The Biggest FatCow and whatever other stations are showing. Pathetic. They all were very slow to get their webcasts up, much less interrupt their main channel coverage.

OHSnow
cells to the sw may be disrupting it a bit now I was wondering about that earlier... is that what would happen? In these big outbreaks, often there will be multiple tornadic supercells lined up. But individual storms frequently move in different directions (i.e. one storm might move almost due east, while another veers off to the northeast). Would two intersecting tornadic supercells disrupt each others circulation?
