pjmJS
Just wait till the monster ridge moves east. The teleconnections look very promising for a massive ridge (-pna, +nao)

The teleconnections look very promising for a massive ridge (-pna, +nao) I want to see a repeat of the dust bowl (which also happened in a la nina) only further east this time

ag3
If 6z NAM is correct: NYC: Today - high of 74-77 Fri - high of 75-78 Sat- 78-81 Sun - 79-
earthlight
06z GFS actually went back towards the idea of lifting the trough into Central Canada--allowing the ridge to build. It's not the mega ridge it had before, but it's still very hot..with 850 temps of 20 + C http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/MRF_6z/f288.gif

A-L-E-X
Lets hope it's right. These are beautiful temperatures. Temperatures are just one part of the picture-- yesterday, today and probably tomorrow are just one big yuckfest. Humidity and clouds are awful-- it doesnt even rain here lol-- a nice hot day with sunshine would be so much better than this.
