21 C 850 temps and west 10m winds should yield near 100 degree highs tomorrow especially at stations like SMQ and EWR

yea, I definitely agree.. If it doesn't hit 100, it should be really close, probably 98-99. All things aside, 21C mixed down dry adiabitically supports 95. I think an 850 temp of about 23-24C would pretty much lock up the deal for 100 in the normally warmer spots of NYC metro, but we do have a favorable wind component, so I think we can tack on a couple of extra degrees just solely due to a bit of compressional warming from downsloping. I'd say that 97-100 range is looking good in the warmest spots tomorrow.. wouldn't be surprised to see some isolated 100-102 maybe down by Lakehurst (NEL).

Yeah my bad, my phone has the OB and it updated the time stamp but not the temperature.

have i.wund.com on your homescreen as a link. Easiest and fastest updating. open it, enter kewr, and then save the link to your homescreen and whenever you click it later, will always be kewr.

MyCast is the best. It updates sometimes before the OB updates on the NWS page.

Wouldn't be so sure today. Midtown PWS is at 88.5 and rising. When that stops rising the park could plateau.

NYC is only up 1 degree to 85 at 1pm.

LGA is similar at 86

JFK 85

EWR 89

Clouds are taking over right now in NYC area. Let's see if we can rise anymore.

NYC usually reaches their high around 2-3pm while everyone else peaks at 5pm, b/c of the lush vegetation.

Although I agree that Central Park doesnt represent the actual city, it does however have an accurate reading for a lot of the Bronx and Queens.

LGA and Central Park have been running very close, for the past 2 weeks. Whenever you see a big difference between these 2 stations, then its more of an error. LGA and Central Park are in very close proximity to eachother. Just a few miles apart.

visible satellite shows the clouds thinning and moving south. sun is shining right through them here. near 90 f now..89.4

IR satellite is picking up some clouds. But its more scattered then anything. Currently, there is a sliver of clouds right over NYC's boroughs:

Yeah so far NYC hasn't been bad; it's during the widespread heat waves that it's really noticable.
