Ottawa Blizzard
Apparently, a volcano on Iceland is erupting again. i wonder if it will impact air travel as the one last year did? Experts seem to think not. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13487858

It was pretty funny that the volcano in Iceland erupted; I guess Ragnarok has started Someone probably thought the movie Thor wasn't too funny and decided it was "hammer time." Who knows? Maybe Tambora in Indonesia will soon awaken from its slumber...
SVT450R
The plume from the volcano made it 12miles into the sky from article i read on yahoo.
CTNoreaster
Its interesting that this BBC article says differently. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13489944 UK Officials are monitoring things closely and that if the eruption continues the plume could reach the continent next week. Whats also is interesting is that the fears last year were well founded and that the ash from the Eyjafjallajokul eruption was abrasive and could have causes serious damage to aircraft. Ottawa Blizzard
I just read an interesting article by Joe D'Aleo on Weatherbell in which he states his opinion that high latitude volcanes often lead to high latitude blocking which leads to colder winters in the US and Europe.
