Scotty Lightning
good LLJ and elevated cape keeping it going, surprised it made it this far. Going to meet its demise in the next few frames though but still will be potent. I was shocked too-it's now hitting that marine layer and will fizzle out shortly. markyk
the southern part of the cell entering Union county looks funky....... EDIT: nevermind, looks like it hit the marine layer as soon as it crested the Watching Mountains

IsentropicLift
Good lightning and heavy downpours as that line came through. I can still here some distant thunder as the rest of the line passes just to my south. Nothing severe.

IsentropicLift
The line is rapidly falling apart now as it reaches points east of NYC however a new line is quickly firing up south of LI and looks like it may just clip the far eastern end shortly after midnight. I'm right in the middle stuck in nothing but absolutely stable low clouds and calm. Nothing worse than these marine layer induced easterly flow regimes. Hopefully this next warmup doesn't do the same thing-I think the last couple of Euro runs were gradually pulling the big ridge west and keeping a cold high over Newfoundland and sticking us in yet more raw east winds. TheTrials
the area will see low 80's today, maybe a few 85's to the far sw and warmer runway thermometers but clouds and storms look to ruin the day yet again. This will be the warmest day for most this week.

IsentropicLift
Feels like the start of one of our typical severe weather days. Moisture will definitly not be the problem. I'm thinking some of the higher CAPE may be realized especially over NJ where the sun has already been out for awhile.

ag3
Visible satellite shows an area of clearing pushing east through NJ. Most already have some sun poking through. We should all be mostly sunny in the next couple hours. With any amount of sun, we should all pop into the mid 80's.
