earthlight
John, these storms are gonna make it, at least to the edge of NYC Its consolidating again and a bow is about to form or even has formed on the southern edge of the line, intense winds there. The warm front drapes southeast from the storms current location, so it will at least briefly stop riding the edge of elevated and surface instability. If it doesn't move east or southeast it will likely weaken and/or become extremely elevated. That being said, at the current moment..its directly along the front and looking healthy. earthlight
Also should be noted that tops have dropped around 10kft in the last 30 minutes---the storm is past it's mature stage at this point.

earthlight
if it's going to hold together the southern end is most likely to be severe near the better low level shear and on the very edge of instability.

Should be interesting to see if you do better in the T-storm department this summer, finally being outside of the Monmouth force field.
