THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A WINTER

WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LIGHT SNOW... WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL

MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT.

* PRECIPITATION TYPES: LIGHT SNOW... MIXED WITH A LITTLE SLEET OR

LIGHT RAIN AT THE ONSET... WILL SPREAD WEST TO EAST ACROSS NORTH

CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA FROM EARLY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE

EVENING.

* ACCUMULATION: AMOUNTS ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY 64... INCLUDING

AREAS FROM LEXINGTON ACROSS RALEIGH TO SMITHFIELD TO

GOLDSBORO... CAN EXPECT A DUSTING TO NEAR AN INCH ON GRASSY

SURFACES ONLY.

* TIMING: MOST OF THE SNOW WILL FALL BETWEEN 1 PM AND MIDNIGHT.

* IMPACTS: THERE MAY BE SOME SLIPPERY SPOTS ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

* TEMPERATURES: READINGS WILL DROP FROM THE UPPER 30S INTO THE

MIDDLE TO LOWER 30S ONCE THE PRECIPITATION BEGINS.
