55/53

drizzle

east at 12

miserable day for everyone

next week looks god awful, the year without a summer has arrived, I cannot continue the positive attitude, this is downright gut wrenching

yesteday summed it up perfectly--70 degrees and sun at 11am and then rain and 58 by 2pm...unreal....my guess is that most of this week ends up sucking....just a hunch--upton calling for rain tomorrow as warm front approaches--you know that story.....it'll never clear us....

It came through like a big bag of wtf and fog almost immediately followed.

Seriously this is getting old. We've managed a couple of hours of nice weather here and there...but this is going on 2 weeks now. Lol.

I'm worried this week has more bad days than good. Timing on these features will be important in terms of sunshine and perception of how the day turned out.

Wednesday and Thursday could suck around here and Monday isn't pretty...but has the potential to be ok. I get nervous when I see high thicknesses this time of year and onshore flow. Screams fog potential. Sometimes we luck out if subsidence is strong so fingers crossed.

You can easily see on vis loops who is getting a decent downsloping day out of this...W of the spine of the Greens, NW of the Presidentials, and the southern CT valley.

In fact, the Rockpile is well above the overcast right now with a 48F and a light N wind about 10mph. It's kinda sad when they have a better spring day over 6000ft up north than down here.

At one point I looked to the sw and it was clear...cloudy overhead...and then fog less than 1 miles away to the ne. Wicked eery.

Yesterday's backdoor fropa was unbelievable up here in Central NH. I am at 1100 feet with a 45 mile view. The front came in with a wall of clouds hugging the ground. I watched it come over the 2000 foot terrain just to my east. Clouds just spilled over like the fog banks in San Fransisco. Very errie. Wish I had my camera!

You could see the fog oozing in between the buildings in Boston. It was really eery, but kind of cool looking.

I was camping this weekend and yesterday was really nice, and almost hot being in the sun all day. Then right around 8-9pm it dropped quickly into the 60s...then 50s.

I like cool wx, but enough is enough. Let's get some 70s and sun please. 53/49

I view May as the month where we can enjoy decent wx before the humidity comes in. So when I see it wasted by stratus in 50 degree temps..I get pissed because it means we'll just flip the switch to heat, even quicker.
