weatherwiz
LOL there's not gonna be any mixing today. There's nothing to generate any wind..which is why the storms are gonna be slow movers. Where do you get this stuff? Mixing due to the heating of the atmosphere from the sun. Dewpoints to our south are no higher than they are here anyways. CoastalWx
The flow looks like it would be favorable for ORH hills and Berks. Any up slope flow will probably aid in tstm development.

weatherwiz
This is something that may KILL us next week and keep temps from soaring much...could be a great deal of low level moisture around which equates to heavy, heavy thick fog.
weatherwiz
Finally should get a baseball game in today. Monday's game was cancelled and pushed to Tuesday, it was cancelled on Tuesday and then push to tomorrow. Wednesday's game was cancelled as well and that was pushed until the last Thursday of the month. Today's game was supposed to be played at 6:30 PM but was moved up to 3:45 PM. weatherwiz
Kevin FTL ...NERN U.S... POCKETS OF LOW LVL INSTABILITY SHOULD DEVELOP BENEATH UPR LOW OVER PARTS OF THE NERN STATES TODAY...WHERE COOL MID LVL TEMPS AND MID 50S F SFC DEWPOINTS MAY YIELD SBCAPE AROUND 500 J/KG. A FEW STORMS COULD PRODUCE HAIL...PERHAPS MARGINALLY SVR...AND GUSTY WINDS. BUT WEAK SHEAR NEAR LOW CENTER SHOULD LIMIT STORM ORGANIZATION/LONGEVITY

weatherwiz
I see why we have the 2% tornado contour, despite having virtually no shear with the mid level low nearby there is some "directional" shear and helicity values are get to about 100-150 m2s2. Mr. Windcredible!
I don't see how 57 can be classified as upper. It's much closer to 55 than 60. by that definition...how can you call a dew of 53 low? shouldn't that be mid? FWIW...I agree with you about dews today...won't get to 60. Kev has been touting 60 degree dews all week and they haven't materialized yet. but his classification of low-mid-high is more accurate...not that it really matters.
