Stormsfury
After isolated supercells produced mammoth hail reports across the Pee Dee region of SC and into the extreme NE part of the Lowcountry today, a very impressive MCV is fast approaching from Columbia tonight towards the area at 40 kts. Very impressive vortex shows on Doppler Radar WNW of Florence, SC, where already earlier today in Pamplico, SC, softball-sized hail was reported (4.5" diameter). ICEHOCEY77
Was a heckuva storm, recorded something like a 65mph gust at the rock hill airport. One of the more intense lightning shows I can remember.

One of the more intense lightning shows I can remember. got a report on the Public Information Statement 62 mph measured. I'm positive just looking at current radar that Florence got absolutely blasted with the bowing segment.

This part of the line is still going through here now. Fortunately the winds haven't been too strong, maybe 35 mph wind gusts, but the lightning is nothing short of spectacular tonight, continual CG strikes, one hitting within yards of here. Anyways, it has been awhile since I've seen an MCS and a lightning show this impressive. EDIT: Fire truck sirens blaring now as apparently structures have been hit
